For any tennis player, winning an ITF title represents a significant achievement, one that could pave the way for future success.

For Toby Samuel, winning ITF titles has become almost the norm – the 23-year-old British player has won nine ITF Futures titles during his career so far.

Samuel, once a member of the number one-ranked doubles team in American Collegiate tennis, has risen to 473 in the world after his most recent success, according to the ATP live rankings.

The Brit, perhaps unsurprisingly, has impressed tennis fans in the past few months after winning multiple titles on the ITF Tour.

Samuel, who reached the 2019 junior Wimbledon doubles semi-finals alongside Arthur Fery, won the ITF M15 in Sharm El Sheikh on Monday.

In the final, the Brit [pictured above, left] defeated new world number 619 Michael Krajci 6-2, 6-4.

Samuel has enjoyed a sustained period of success on the ITF Tour, having won two M15 ITF titles in September in Hurghada, Egypt.

Remarkably, in the second of his final appearances in Hurghada, Samuel beat former world number 93 and compatriot Liam Broady.

Samuel has now made five straight ITF final appearances dating back to August.

In 2019, Toby Samuel [pictured below, right] and Arthur Fery entered the Wimbledon Boys Doubles draw as a wildcard pairing.

After defeating compatriots Derrick Chen and Lui Maxted in the first round, the British pair beat Taha Baadi and Filip Cristian Jianu to reach the quarter-finals.

The pair then knocked out Brandon Nakashima and Valentin Royer, both of whom are now top 100-ranked ATP singles players.
