Mirra Andreeva has received some words of advice from Boris Becker after winning the French Open.
Andreeva beat qualifier Maja Chwalinska 6-3, 6-2 to claim her first Grand Slam title in Paris.
The 19-year-old thanked many people following her French Open victory, including her coach Conchita Martinez.
Former Wimbledon champion Martinez has coached Andreeva since April 2024, and now six-time Grand Slam champion Becker has provided her with some advice regarding this relationship.

Boris Becker tells Mirra Andreeva to ‘stick’ with Conchita Martinez
Becker knows exactly what it is like to become a Grand Slam champion as a teenager, having won Wimbledon at both 17 and 18 years old.
Having been through this experience, Becker has now advised Andreeva to stick with her current team, particularly focussing on Martinez.
“Stick with the team you have now, especially her coach,” Becker said live on TNT Sports. “She was a champion herself 20 years ago, she was a winning coach with a couple of other players.
“So stick with the team who gave you the championship for a long time.”
Andreeva will receive a huge €2,800,000 for her victory at the French Open, as she now climbs back up to world number six, one place off her previous career-high.
How many Grand Slams does Mirra Andreeva win in her career? 🏆
Boris Becker makes prediction about Mirra Andreeva after winning the French Open
After winning the French Open, Chris Evert predicted Andreeva to win as many as seven Grand Slams in her career.
While he did not put a specific number on it, Becker is also backing Andreeva to win multiple Grand Slams in her career.
“I think the favourite won. I think it’s the first of many Grand Slam championships for Mirra,” said Becker. “I think the right player won.
“I would not be surprised to see her win a couple [of Slams]. I also like her slogan of thanking herself, I think that’s a good motto. But you have to stay humble and respect the opposition, there are a lot of good players out there.
“She has the champions mindset. Today was difficult. It was windy and gusty and sunny, but she really kept her composure for the whole match today and also throughout the whole second week. That is a good sign for good things to come.”
