Ben Shelton joined an exclusive group after claiming his sixth ATP title at the Stuttgart Open.
Shelton beat Taylor Fritz in the final to complete a dramatic week on the grass of Stuttgart, having come from a set down in three of his four matches and saved two match points in his semi-final against Jiri Lehecka.
This was a great response by Shelton, who had a disappointing Roland Garros after losing in the second round.
Shelton has already won three titles this year, and he has now completed an achievement that only 11 other active ATP players have done.

Shelton has now joined an exclusive group of just 12 active ATP players who have won a title on grass and clay, as well as outdoor and indoor hard courts.

This list is led by 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who completed this achievement 15 years ago after winning Wimbledon in 2011.
Djokovic is one of four active players to have achieved this in the 2010s, alongside Marin Cilic, Grigor Dimitrov and Roberto Bautista Agut.
After Bautista Agut completed this achievement in February 2016, no active player achieved this until Daniil Medvedev in May 2023.
Some of the more recent names to have done this are Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, with Shelton now joining this list.
Perhaps one of the most surprising names on this list is Lorenzo Sonego, who has only won four ATP titles, but has won one tournament win on every surface, as well as his two hard court titles.
Alexander Zverev became a major champion at Roland Garros, but he has still not won a grass court title.

Only three active ATP players have won a title on every surface younger than Ben Shelton
Shelton has now won a title on every surface at just 23 years and eight months old, and only three active ATP players have done this younger than him.
The youngest of those is Alcaraz, who won his first indoor hard court title at the 2025 Rotterdam Open to complete the set at just 21 years and nine months old.
World number one Sinner is not far behind Alcaraz, having first won a title on every surface at 22 years and 10 months after winning the 2024 Halle Open.
The only other active ATP player to have won a title on every surface younger than Shelton is Grigor Dimitrov, who was 23 years and one month old when he did so in June 2014.
Despite having won 101 titles, Djokovic was older than Shelton when he won a title on every surface at 24 years and two months.
Shelton will be looking to add to his trophy haul this week, as he continues his Wimbledon preparations at the Halle Open.
In his opening match in Halle, Shelton will play against former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios for the first time.
