Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz made giant strides in 2025, and they will be hoping to capture that long-awaited Grand Slam this season.

Shelton won his maiden Masters title at the Canadian Open, while Fritz ended the season as the highest-ranked American as the World No. 6.

The pair are two of the most likely candidates to challenge Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz for a Grand Slam next season.

Fritz and Shelton share a special bond and they have now signed up for the same tournament next season.

The Munich event was upgraded to an ATP 500 event in 2025 and saw the likes of Felix Auger-Aliassime, Ugo Humbert, and Francisco Cerundolo compete.

Shelton picked up victories against Botic van de Zandschulp, Luciano Darderi, and Cerundolo en route to the final.

The American won the tournament last term, beating Zverev in the final to capture his first tournament of the year.

The victory kickstarted an impressive grass court season for Fritz, which saw him win the Eastbourne Open and reach the semi-final of Wimbledon.

Fritz will be joined at the ATP 250 event by Matteo Berrettini, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul and Jan-Lennard Struff.
