Aryna Sabalenka confirmed the first Sunshine Double of her career by winning the Miami Open.

Sabalenka beat Coco Gauff in the Miami final to become just the fifth woman to win both Indian Wells and the Miami Open.

The world number one joins Steffi Graf, Kim Clijsters, Victoria Azarenka, and Iga Swiatek on the exclusive list of female Sunshine Double winners.

As well as securing the Sunshine Double, Sabalenka also made tennis history that no other player has achieved.

Aryna Sabalenka hits first time feat after winning Miami

It’s easy to forget just how impressive of a doubles player Sabalenka was due to her dominance at the top of the singles WTA Tour.

Her Sunshine Double victory at Indian Wells and Miami this year was not the first time she has won both tournaments in the same year.

How many Grand Slams will Aryna Sabalenka win this year?

She looks unstoppable right now!

Sabalenka achieved her first Sunshine Double back in 2019, when she won Indian Wells and the Miami Open doubles events alongside Elise Mertens.

After winning the singles version, Sabalenka has become the first player in tennis history to achieve the Sunshine Double in both events.

Sabalenka has now won two Indian Wells crowns and three Miami Open titles across singles and doubles formats.

Aryna Sabalenka hits ranking points milestone again

Sabalenka holds the world number one spot by a large margin, with over 3000 points separating her and Elena Rybakina in second place.

The star has once again hit over 11,000 ranking points on the WTA Tour, which is the second time she has achieved the feat.

Aryna Sabalenka or Iga Swiatek… who do you prefer? 🤔

Sabalenka first hit the milestone back in May 2025, which saw her become the third female star to reach the achievement.

Only Serena Williams and Swiatek have managed to reach 11,000 ranking points before, so Sabalenka once again joins an exclusive list.

If she continues her form well into 2026, there’s no reason why her ranking points can’t continue to grow.
