Arthur Fils has been in sensational form since returning from injury at the beginning of the season.
The Frenchman is in his second ATP Tour final of the year at the Barcelona Open, after he defeated Rafael Jodar in the semi-finals.
Fils’ victory against Jodar was his 17th win of the season following his comeback at February’s Open Occitanie.
The 21-year-old reached an impressive milestone with his latest win, which puts him in elite French company.

Arthur Fils achieves impressive feat in Barcelona
Fils’ victory against Jodar in the Barcelona Open semi-finals was remarkably his 100th win on the ATP Tour.
The Frenchman has become the fifth youngest player from his nation to hit 100 career victories, joining some all-time greats.
What is the one tennis result you would like to change?
Plenty to pick from!
Only Yannick Noah, Richard Gasquet, Fabrice Santoro, and Henri Leconte reached 100 victories at a younger age than Fils.
Youngest French players to reach 100 ATP Tour wins
- Yannick Noah – 20 years and eight months
- Richard Gasquet – 20 years and 10 months
- Fabrice Santoro – 21 years and one month
- Henri Leconte – 21 years and three months
- Arthur Fils – 21 years and 10 months
Fils has reached 100 wins quicker than some of the biggest male stars in France, including Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
Considering Fils missed months of action between the 2025 and 2026 season, that is a remarkable achievement from the 21-year-old.
What will worry Fils is only one of those names on the list managed to go on to win a Grand Slam title in their career.
Yannick Noah is the last Frenchman to win a Grand Slam title and it came all the way back in 1983, when he lifted the Roland Garros trophy.
Arthur Fils could not soar up the rankings
Fils’ career derailed following a back injury suffered in the clay court season last term, but it could work out to be a positive for the Frenchman this season.
Who do YOU think will win the Madrid Open? 💭
Following Roland Garros this year, Fils is defending virtually no points for the rest of the year as he only played one tournament following the French Grand Slam.
Fils did not play a single tournament on the grass and his only appearance following Roland Garros came at the Canadian Open.
If Fils continues his good form for the rest of the year, he should comfortably be inside the top 10 of the ATP Tour rankings.
The 21-year-old could quite easily be set for his very first appearance at the ATP Finals in Turin to round off 2026.
