Arthur Fery won’t forget about Wimbledon 2026 in a hurry, and neither will British tennis fans.

Handed a wildcard for the grass-court Grand Slam in London, the 24-year-old Briton made it all the way to the semi-finals.

The first wildcard in 25 years to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals, Fery has now done his best to summarize the unforgettable experience.

Arthur Fery summarizes his dream semi-final run at Wimbledon

Sharing images of his time at the All England Club, Fery posted on his Instagram: “What a couple of weeks it’s been.

“Making it to the semi-finals of Wimbledon and consequently becoming British No.1 is something I’ll carry with me forever.

“Playing at Wimbledon has always been a privilege and getting the chance to walk out on Centre Court for the first time this year in front of you guys was special.

“Thanks to everyone who came out to support me, watched from home, sent messages and cheered me on over the last few weeks.

“A massive thank you to my family and team. None of this happens without the people behind the scenes who put in so much time and energy in good as well as bad times.

“Thank you to my sponsors for backing me throughout the journey.

“And a huge thank you to the All England Club and the LTA for an unforgettable fortnight and the continued support.

“Time to rest, get back to work and keep improving.

“See you soon, Arthur.”

WTA superstar Emma Raducanu was quick to react to the post with clapping emojis, while their fellow British player Katie Swan wrote: “Legend.”

Arthur Fery’s dream run at Wimbledon

Fery has indeed become the British number one for the very first time thanks to his run, which has also seen him soar the ATP rankings.

Ranked at a career-high 114th heading into the iconic tournament, the Briton has just risen a huge 78 places to 36th.

The dream venture on home soil included a win over ninth seed Flavio Cobolli and Grigor Dimitrov, with Fery playing three times on Centre Court.

One of those matches came against French Open champion Alexander Zverev, who went on to lose the final to Jannik Sinner after knocking out the home favourite.

He did, of course, fall short of the heroics of fellow Briton Andy Murray, but Fery deserves immense praise for his fantastic adventure at Wimbledon this year.
