Novak Djokovic has won a record 24 Grand Slam titles, but hasn’t added to his tally since the 2023 US Open.
The world number four has been unsuccessful in his search for number 25, despite reaching five consecutive Grand Slam semi-finals.
Djokovic will be 39 at this year’s French Open, as many question whether he is too old to win another major title.
When do you think Novak Djokovic will return?
He still hasn't played a match on clay this year…
His fellow Serb, Ana Ivanovic, has now responded when asked if she believes Djokovic can win his 25th Grand Slam before retiring from tennis.
Ana Ivanovic ‘definitely’ thinks Novak Djokovic can still win a Grand Slam
During an interview with ‘Eurosport‘, Ivanovic delivered her verdict on Djokovic’s Grand Slam chances.
“I mean, what he’s achieved, it’s really incredible,” she said.

“We’ve known each other since we were very, very young, and we’ve been friends for a long time.
“It’s very inspiring to see that and to give that much back to Serbia and the next generation.
“I definitely think he has a chance to win another Grand Slam.
“His game is still at a very high level; he can compete with the top guys.
“If you look at the Grand Slams, he was in the semi-finals and finals, so one step closer to the title.
“But an incredible career, and not something that will be easy to match.”
Despite being more than a decade older than his main rivals, Djokovic remains one of the most consistent performers at the Grand Slam level.
In 2025, the Serb reached the semi-finals of all four Grand Slams, only losing to the world’s top three: Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev.
This year, he went a step further, defeating Sinner in the Australian Open semi-finals, qualifying for his first major final since 2024.

As we watch Sinner and Alcaraz dominate Grand Slams, it’s easy to forget that Djokovic is still the most successful player at major tournaments this decade.

The Serbian veteran has won eight Grand Slams in the 2020s, one more than Alcaraz and four more than Sinner.
He’ll be determined to win his ninth major this decade and the 25th of his career at the upcoming French Open.
Why the French Open is Novak Djokovic’s best chance at winning a 25th Grand Slam
Earlier this month, Alcaraz announced his withdrawal from the French Open.
The Spaniard was the favourite to win the tournament, having done so in 2024 and 2025.
With Alcaraz missing, Sinner is the new favourite, but Djokovic isn’t far behind.
Can anyone now stop Jannik Sinner from winning Roland Garros after Carlos Alcaraz’s withdrawal?
If yes, who?
Most fans and pundits argue it is nearly impossible to beat Alcaraz and Sinner in consecutive matches, a feat you must normally accomplish to win a Grand Slam.
But with one of the top two out of contention, the concept of winning a major title doesn’t seem quite so unrealistic.
Djokovic has already beaten Sinner at a Grand Slam this year, and should he do so again, in Paris, he might win that elusive 25th major title.
Only time will tell who will emerge victorious at the French Open, but you certainly won’t want to miss any of the action.
The 2026 French Open begins on Sunday, May 24.
