Alexandra Eala posts message on Instagram after losing to Linda Noskova in the Berlin Open semi-finals

Alexandra Eala’s impressive run at the Berlin Open has come to an end.

Eala beat Elena Rybakina, Elina Svitolina and Donna Vekic to reach the semi-finals in the German capital.

This put the Filipina within just one match of reaching her first WTA 500 final, but Eala was beaten by Linda Noskova in the semi-finals.

Despite being beaten, Eala has reflected very positively after making her first post on social media following her defeat to Noskova.

Alexandra Eala posts heartfelt message on social media after Berlin Open run ends

Eala is one of the most popular players on the WTA Tour, boasting a total of 1.1 million followers on Instagram.

Reflecting on her debut this week at the Berlin Open, Eala posted a heartfelt message

She wrote, “Can’t begin to describe all the emotions I’ve experienced this week, my heart is full! I am forever GRATEFUL. Berlin, you are so so special, thank you!”

Many top WTA players interacted with this social media post, including Coco Gauff liking Eala’s message.

Eala also received messages of support in the comments from the likes of Iva Jovic, Eva Lys, Zeynep Sonmez and Paula Badosa.

Where will Alexandra Eala be ranked after her run to the Berlin Open semi-finals?

Although Eala was unable to reach the final in Berlin, she has been given a boost in terms of her ranking.

Not only has Eala secured her place as a seed at Wimbledon this year, but she has also moved to within one place of her career-high ranking as she moves back up to world number 30.

Eala now has an opportunity to surpass her best ranking, as she lost in the first round of Wimbledon last year.

But first, Eala will compete in Bad Homburg, where she is scheduled to play in both singles and doubles with Venus Williams.

This is a fourth consecutive grass court tournament for Eala, who will play Elise Mertens in the first round.
