Alexandra Eala, like the rest of the WTA Tour, has learned her fate for the upcoming Roland Garros tournament.

The draw was completed earlier today, with some thrilling clashes thrown up in the very first round.

However, for fans from the Philippines, all eyes were on their 20-year-old sensation who will fly the flag at yet another Grand Slam event.

With that in mind, here’s Alexandra Eala’s full projected draw for this year’s French Open, which will be just her second appearance in the tournament’s main draw.

Alexandra Eala’s full projected Roland Garros draw

The draw has not been kind to Eala, pitting her against yet another young sensation, but one with far more pedigree.

If she is to win just one match at Roland Garros this year, Eala will have to bypass Iva Jovic in the very first round.

If she is to win against the American, she will likely be greeted by another in Emma Navarro.

Naomi Osaka is expected to be waiting in the third round, before Aryna Sabalenka is looming in this portion of the draw, who is set to be a fourth-round opponent.

Jessica Pegula and Victoria Mboko are the two highest seeds who could face her in the quarterfinals, with defending champion Coco Gauff an expected semifinalist.

And then, looking at the other half of the draw, and it could be anyone from Iga Swiatek to Elena Rybakina, or maybe even Mirra Andreeva or Elina Svitolina.

Eala has been practising at Roland Garros already, but might have to step up the intensity if she is to make it through this torrid draw.

Alexandra Eala has to turn her form around at the French Open

If Eala is to battle her way through even the first or second round, before she has to face someone like Sabalenka, she will have to turn her form around.

After all, this clay-court season has been far from outstanding for the Filipina sensation with just four wins across five tournaments played.

Is Alex Eala ‘overhyped and overrated’?

Some fans think so…

And, her most recent defeat to Oleksandra Oliynykova was arguably the most disappointing of the lot, having lost this opening-round match in Strasbourg despite winning the first set.

Her hard-working and relentless play style should translate well to this surface, but it simply hasn’t worked out for her yet.

If there is any place to turn it around, it’s at Roland Garros. However, the draw certainly hasn’t boosted her chances.
