Alex de Minaur survived a scare against Botic van de Zandschulp to reach the semi-final of the Rotterdam Open for the third consecutive year.
The Australian defeated the Dutchman on home soil having dropped the first set and he will now face Ugo Humbert in the final four.
De Minaur has lost the last two Rotterdam Open finals, to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, but he will be the favourite to reach the 2026 final yet again.
Despite De Minaur’s ‘struggles’ in Rotterdam, the Aussie has continued a record that not even Alcaraz and Sinner can beat.

Alex de Minaur’s incredible ATP 500 record continues
De Minaur picked up his 50th win at ATP 500 events since the start of the 2023 season, which is more than anyone else on tour.
The Australian has won more than Alcaraz, who has notched 44 victories, although the Spaniard has picked up double the amount of titles de Minaur has managed.
Will Alex de Minaur finish 2026 ranked inside the top five?
De Minaur is also comfortably above Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and Daniil Medvedev with his ATP 500 record.
ATP 500 wins since 2023
| Name | Wins | Titles |
| Alex de Minaur | 50 | 3 |
| Carlos Alcaraz | 44 | 6 |
| Jannik Sinner | 43 | 6 |
| Alexander Zverev | 43 | 2 |
| Daniil Medvedev | 42 | 2 |
Since 2023, the Australian has lifted the trophy at the Mexican Open twice, as well as the Washington Open.
His only losses in ATP 500 finals have come at the Rotterdam Open, however, so De Minaur could also change an unfortunate record.
Alex de Minaur’s head-to-head record with Ugo Humbert
De Minaur heads into the Rotterdam Open semi-final 28 places above Humbert and he holds an impressive record against the Frenchman.
The Australian has won five of his seven matches against Humbert, and he hasn’t lost to the star since 2023.
If you were in charge of tennis, what is the first rule you would change?
De Minaur has beaten Humbert at the ATP Cup, the Barcelona Open, Lyon, the Davis Cup, and ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
De Minaur’s only semi-final meeting against Humbert went the way of the Australian, at ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 2024.
Nevertheless, the Frenchman will provide a tough test for de Minaur, particularly on an indoor hardcourt.
