Every year when we conduct our racket reviews we find people who have never heard of the British brand Mantis but love their products once they are introduced to them.

Mantis, which was founded by Martin Aldridge, is upgrading the range of pro rackets this year. “We have made some very subtle adjustments to the overall playability to make them feel a bit softer and with slightly more power,” Aldridge said. “This has been done by adjusting the lay-up of the frames in each case.

“They have maintained the Mantis philosophy of only using the finest carbon fibre to produce the best performing racket possible. This means that they maintain the traditional playability associated with Mantis rackets – a comfortable frame for all-court players with longer strokes. They also use our Custom Pallet Handle System so you can change the grip size if required.”

With three models in the range, Pro 310, 295 and 275 (the model numbers simply reflects the weight of the racket in grammes) players of all levels are catered for.
