Pic of the Day: Gael Monfils

Monfils, who was projected to face No.5 seed Rafael Nadal in the fourth round, secured a 7-5 6-3 6-2 victory on Hisense Arena to set up a last-16 clash with Russia’s Andrey Kuznetsov.

Having equalled his best result at the Australian Open – in 2009 Monfils also reached the fourth round here – he has the chance to reach the quarter-finals in Melbourne for the first time.
