Lucky loser Ram reaches final

Ram reached his first ATP World Tour final after beating Belgian Olivier Rochus 6-3 6-4 in Newport.

He will now face fellow American, number three seed Sam Querrey, who rifled 18 aces past two-time defending champion Fabrice Santoro on his way to a 6-3 7-6 (7-2) victory in the second semi-final of the day.
